Respiratory Distress Syndrome (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia)
1-day-old boy with respiratory distress syndrome. This newborn isn't feeling very well, and the left thoracic cavity is less pronounced than the right one. The abdomen is in comparison to the thorax small and below the thoracic level.
This newborn has not such a severe respiratory distress syndrome as usually shown
in congenital diaphragmatic hernia. See also $$atno_17??nr=1££figure 1 for comparison§§ and $$atno_19??nr=1££figure 2 for comparison§§.
Nevertheless, this boy has a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, but combined with a hernia sac.
