Sternomastoid Tumor vs. Cystic Lymphangioma

Left picture: The diagnosis is a distinct sternocleidomastoid tumor of the right side. Right picture: In this case a cystic lymphangioma of the right side is present which has a spatial relationship to the cranial half of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

In both infants of the first and second trimenon, respectively, a mass becomes visible on turning the head to the left side, localized in the posterior part of the neck, and which seems to be related to the right sternocleidomastoid muscle. Left picture: This pathology is firm. Right picture: This finding is smooth and cystic.
