Low Type of Myelomeningocele/Neurology (Video)

This video shows a newborn with a low type of (sacral) myelomeningocele in whom there are virtually no motor deficits. A forceful automatic gait is possible; the legs are spontaneously extended in the large joints during the gait. As the only possible sequel of spinal cord involvement a neurogenic flatfoot may be suspected.
