Bilateral Breast Enlargement (Differential Diagnosis Non-Inflammatory Breast Enlargement)
10.4-year-old boy not yet sexually developed with enlargement of both breasts; distinctly increased fatty tissue in the face and on the trunk; notice the region of the chin, the shoulders at the transition to the nape of the neck and axillary folds.
On palpation the mammary glands feel not increased but locally the fatty tissue is increased similar to the suprapubic fat. In such patients the testicles are often not palpable for the same reasons, but also due to the often delayed growth. Here, the diagnosis is pseudogynaecomastia.
