CT (Nephroblastoma)
CT in a 4.4-year-old girl with a visible and palpable abdominal tumor of the right side.
Large retroperitoeal mass of the right side. At this level the kindeys are not visible. The right hepatic lobe is displaced forward. For topographical reasons the diagnosis of the mass is most probably a nephroblastoma. Today, ultrasound as a screening method and CT without or with contrast belong to the typical work-up examinations of Wilms' tumor.
In contrast to the neuroblastoma with simple displacement of the kidney and its pelvis to the bottom, the calicopelvic system is deformed in nephroblastoma.
