Hemihypertrophy (Nephroblastoma)
1-year-old girl who stands upright with the aid of the parents. On the picture the left leg and the left hemithorax are more bulky and longer than on the right side.
It is a hypertrophy of the left body half. The child is standing on her toes with the right leg.
In such patients a Wilms' tumor must be excluded in regular intervals by ultrasound because hemihypertrophy and other signs are often combined with nephroblastoma.
