Swelling Testis/Scrotum (Torsion of the Testis)
External genitals in a 14.10-year-old boy at puberty. The testis which is swollen and in a transverse position appears to be round in the view from the top; its position is high, and the overlying skin is reddish.
In this case the diagnosis of a torsion of the testis can be made clinically, also due to
the findings on inspection and palpation, and the absent reflex of the cremasteric muscle. At this stage the reaction of the skin is still minimal; therefore, the testis are clearly recognizable.
