Recurrence of Testicular Torsion
14.1-year-old boy with an acute 'scrotum'. Some years ago a transscrotal orchidopexy has been performed because of testicular torsion. The spermatic cord is again twisted.
Following incision of the tunica vaginalis and a long-distance orchidopexy to the
tunica dartos, recurrences are unusual. In this case, it has to be considered that the sutures got loose and/or that the row of sutures was too short. The residual site of fixation could not avoid a recurrence of the torsion.
