Irreversibly Twisted Spermatic Cord (Torsion of the Testis)

10-month-old infant with a severe and late-stage torsion of the testis. During revision the testis is violet and the spermatic cord repeatedly twisted and blue. The diagnosis is an advanced stage of a supravaginal torsion of the testis in cryptorchidism. An ablation is necessary. In case of cryptorchidism the parents should be informed about the frequent occurrence of testicular torsion and about the clinical signs if a selective orchidopexy is not yet fixed.
