Red Current Jelly Stool (Intussusception)

Napkin with stool. It consists of reddishly colored mucous masses. It is mucus mixted with blood which is typical for intussusception and is called red current jelly stool. The blood is not disintegrated and is fresh; this type of stool may be observed also in intestinal polyps.
