Esophagogastrography in Vomiting (Differential Diagnosis)
Esophagogastrography in an 8-month-old girl with frequent vomiting. The gastric fundus and distal esophagus which are filled with contrast show an obtuse angle of His. It is an momentary picture of the contrast study.
As anatomical correlation of the gastroesophageal reflux which was observed repeatedly during the examination there is a gaping cardia.
In addition to the vomiting in evening colic, in pylorospasm or antral dysmotility disorder and rumination, the gastroesophageal reflux belongs to the most frequent and important differential diagnoses of hypertrophic pyloric stenosis.
