Local Findings (Funnel Chest)
peex_9a_n.jpg: For the evaluation of the local findings the patient must be
inspected not only from the front, but also from the side and in a semi-oblique view.
The view from the front does not allow to judge the type and the degree of the funnel chest sufficiently, as for example in this 14.7-year-old boy with a strong constitution and a deformity of the chest wall.
peex_9b_n.jpg: The broad and mould-like, symmetrical funnel chest is recognizable only in a semi-oblique view.
