Pull-through Operation Second Step (Hirschsprung´s Disease)

Pull-through operation, second step. The hand of the surgeon is holding the instrument used for the pull-through procedure which is introduced by the anus into the rectosigmoid lumen. The right ureter is being retracted to the side by a red string. In the meantime the preparation of the rectum has been performed close to the wall to avoid damage to the continence organ of rectum and bladder, and as far as possible close to the anus. There is rigorous bouginage of the channel of the anus and ligature of the upper end of the aganglionic intestine over the pull-through instrument.
