Distal Urethral Stenosis in a Boy (Voiding Disorder/Posterior Urethral Valves)
VCUG of a 13.11-year-old boy with a voiding disorder (hindered micturition). The urethra is dilated in its whole length; at the distal end there is a sudden decrease in the calibre of the urethra.
The diagnosis is stenosis of the urethral orifice leading to the hindered micturition.
The cause of the stenosis is balanitis xerotica which has also involved the most anterior part of the urethra. In case of phimosis caused by balanitis xerotica immediate total circumcision is necessary to avoid such a progression of the disease.
