Benign Types (Neurogenic Mediastinal Tumors)
metu_5_n.jpg: In this 6-year-old girl a thorax x-ray was ordered because of Horner's syndrome of the left side. Based on the x-rays a ganglioneuroma of the left posterior mediastinum was
suspected.
Operatively, beneath the divided mediastinal pleura a spherical, well demarcated mass sized 4 to 5 cm becomes visible. On histology, a ganglioneuroma was diagnosed.
