Types 3 (Renal Trauma)

CT of a schoolchild with suspected blunt renal trauma of the left side. On the left side a hypodense zone of more than 1 cm which runs perpendicular to the surface on the dorsal side, an inhomogenous renal parenchyma, and a perirenal hypodense layer are visible. The diagnosis is a grade 3 (III) left renal trauma with a large retroperitoneal and perirenal hematoma decreasing in front of the kidney.
