Suprapubic Mass
hage_15a_n.jpg: 1.5-year-old boy with a visible and palpable infraumbilical tumor in the midline similar to a full bladder in acute urinary retention.
hage_15b_n.jpg: The voiding cystourethrography shows a shift of the tube-like, deformed, and cranially elongated bladder with a left vesicoureteral reflux of grade III.
In this toddler a rhabdomyosarcoma of the bladder is present, too, as cause of the
visible and palpable abdominal tumor.
hage_14a_n.jpg to hage_15b_n.jpg are examples illustrating the necessity of an early diagnosis, e.g. in the stage of hematuria. Otherwise, the leading symptom is an abdominal tumor which corresponds to an advanced stage of the tumor and a late diagnosis.
