Mass in the Bladder 1 (Differential Diagnosis as before)
Endoscopic finding in a 10-month-old girl with voiding disorder of the bladder, attacks of bladder pain, and hematuria. Numerous masses of different size are visible, protruding in the bladder lumen like polyps.
The histological examination of a biopsy yields a rhabdomyosarcoma of the bladder, also called 'botryosarcoma', and is a malignant tumor of the urogenital organs preferably observed in older infants and toddlers (compare with chapter 'Genital bleedings in girls').
