Female Inguinal Hernia (DD Ambiguity External versus Internal Genitals)
Female external genitals of a toddler in whom prior to bilateral herniotomy already an endoscopy has been performed.
The diagnosis is testicular feminization which is also a type of male pseudo-hermaphrodidism and in which the involved children are classified clinically as girls.
The cause of testicular feminization is a peripheral testosterone resistence. Except for a short vagina which was found in the presented case by endoscopy, other Mullerian structures are missing because the male gonades produce anti-Mullerian hormone. $$mikt_6??££See Alternate figure.§§
