Large Clitoris versus Mikropenis (DD Ambiguous External Genitals)

Abnormal external genitals in a 6.8-year-old girl. After unfolding of both labia majora, a structure is visible which may correspond to a micropenis as well as to a hypertrophic clitoris. Below, there is a funnel-shaped and wetting orifice. After additional examinations, a male pseudo-hermaphrodidism was diagnosed. Male pseudo-hermaphrodidism includes five different types of incomplete masculinization of male individuals with testicular tissue and xy chromosomes. In some of such patients, the external genitals are intersexual as in this case report, or even female.
