Vaginal Duplication (DD as before)

3.5-year-old girl with conspicuous external genitals; the labia minora are surrounding three visible openings. An anus is missing at its normal site. The diagnosis is as in geni_22a_n.jpg and in geni_22b_n.jpg an anorectal malformation with a recto- or anovestibular fistula. In addition, there is a duplication of the vagina with a midline septum. Later work-ups are necessary to show if the duplication includes only the vagina, or if the uterus is involved, too. In urinary tract and in anorectal malformations, duplications and other anomalies of the internal genitals occur not all too rarely.
