Hernia Sac (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia)

Opened abdominal cavity. A funnel-shaped structure becomes visible spread out by two Péan's forceps. In the depth there is the diaphragmatic opening with entrance to the thoracic cavity. On the left there are reduced intestinal loops. In this 1-day-old newborn a pleuroperitoneal diaphragmatic hernia of the type of an open pleuroperitoneal channel with a hernia sac was encountered.
