Right picture: The enlargement of the left breast of this 6-month-old infant is not an isolated premature development of the breast. A distinct premature thelarche is considered, but in fact, it is a subcutaneous hämangioma with involvement of the breast and the cutis. Left picture: This girl has a bilateral premature development of the breast of slight degree without other signs of premature puberty (premature thelarche).

Left Picture: 5.8-year-old girl in whom a slight enlargement of the right breast is recognizable in a right lateral view. Right picture: 6-month-old girl with a distinct enlargement of the left breast. Left picture: The slightly oblique front view at the bottom shows also an enlargement of the left breast. Other signs of puberty are missing. Right picture: The whole enlargement has a slightly bluish discoloration, and in the areola fine vessels are visible.
